SWAGGSM Presents… Perez Hilton’s “One Night In Austin”
I had a chance to partake in this event once again this year, if you guys remember Kanye West was the surprise guest last year, this year we were greeted by not only Snoop Dogg but a reunited Hole (did that sound right?). One thing is for sure Perez Hilton knows how to throw a party. Unlike last year, my credentials got me behind the scenes this year with pretty much all access in and around the party, including the “red carpet” stop in the green room where each performer stopped by to get thier picture taken. Aside from the two headliners we also got a taste of groups such as Marina and The Diamonds, Alphabeat, Estelle, and Macy Gray (yeah that Macy Gray). The festive crowd who braved frigid temperatures just to get into this party was in full party mode once inside, enjoying complimentary concoctions from Tito’s Vodka. With dance party DJ’s A-Track, JD Samson of Le Tigre and my new favorite DJ group Mia Moretti spinning in between sets the crowd saw great performances by all the main stage attractions. After all the hustle and bustle of the week, this was a great way to end my 2010 SXSW experience.

Another South By Southwest in the books, what can I say it seems to get better and better every year. This year I had a chance to see some bands that will have a permanent home on the iPod playlist. One of the questions I get asked constantly is “what was your favorite band?”….this year the honor goes to Broken Bells, this Dangermouse and James Mercer (of The Shins) project made the rounds at SXSW this year, I had a chance to see them twice and was left with a true admiration for the work of Dangermouse.

Had a chance to check out Jay-Z on The Blueprint 3 Tour this past Monday and was left impressed by the reigning king of hip hop himself.
New Home
So this will be the new home of A Walking Disaster. I thought It would be a good idea to change things up a bit. I am still in the midst of transferring everything over so bare with me, in the meantime enjoy the pictures I took during SXSW this year and let me know if there is anything specific you guys want to see on the site.
